Kinesiology
Kinesiology is a complementary therapy developed by a US chiropractor in the 1960s. He discovered that muscles are related to acupuncture meridians (energy channels). By testing the strength of different muscles you can find out about the health of mind and body. Health can be restored by gentle pressure or massage along the meridians.

Kinesiology is best known for the detection and treatment of allergies, but it can actually be used for anything. It is completely painless and the muscle tests simply involve you trying to resist light pressure from the therapist - they are not tests of muscle development. It also works through a surrogate - so, for example, your child or pet could be tested and treated through you.

‘Touch for health’ is a simplified form of kinesiology developed for use at home.
