Flower Essences & Remedies
Infusions of wildflowers, garden flowers, trees and fungi from all over the world are used for the self-treatment of emotions. Prepared like homoeopathic remedies, they work on our subtle energy and are normally considered completely safe. Unlike homoeopathic remedies, they don't work by exaggerating symptoms but by providing the qualities we are lacking.

The first remedies were created by the English doctor and homoeopath Edward Bach (pronounced 'batch'), who found himself suffering different negative states of mind one by one, and then being led intuitively to the plant which could help him.

Flower remedies are widely available in health food shops and natural health centres and are popular for animal treatment as well as for people.

Probably the best-known Bach remedy is Rescue Remedy, a combination of five remedies for using before or after stress and trauma.

Bach flower remedies: Holly

Bach flower remedies: Rescue Remedy

Bach flower remedies: Walnut
