Journey Therapy - a personal miracle

BRANDON Bays, says the key to her Journey Therapy is to "uncover repressed trauma, or the unaddressed cell memory, resolve it and clear it completely." Local Journey therapist Pam Layfield explains more.

I experienced my own dramatic healing miracle after doing Brandon Bay's Journey. In 1999, my heart stopped, which was a real wake up call. I was well qualified as a therapist in the mind, body and spirit fields for years, yet this came totally unannounced. Diagnosed with three (genetically formed) holes in my heart and put on the emergency list, my life dramatically ground to a halt.

Eleven months later, I did my first two Journeys, the physical and the emotional. I knew profound healing had taken place, I felt free, joyous, empowered, healed, cleansed and I danced! Three days after those initial Journeys I went to London, (a miracle in itself) to attend a Journey Intensive Workshop, to meet Brandon and ask her to train me. Since then I have attended every event (but two) in the UK as a trainee, then she officially trained me, culminating in Byron Bay, Australia!

So operation-free and after my own healing miracle, I get to be part of and witness other people's miracles, which surely is a wonderful thing.

For Brandon it took a tumour the size of a football to catapult her on a remarkable, soul-searching and ultimately freeing healing journey in which she uncovered a means to get direct access to the soul, and the boundless healing potential inside all of us.

The extraordinary gift of Brandon's own healing journey, detailed in her book The Journey, was to pioneer a road-map to the soul: a simple, yet powerful step-by-step means to tap into your body's own infinite wisdom, joy and potential, eliciting its unlimited healing power, uncovering specific cell memories, resolving them completely and clearing out any emotional, spiritual or physical blocks stored on a cellular level.

Building on the work of famed endocrinologist Deepak Chopra MD, at the forefront of psycho immunology and mind/body medicine, and renowned cellular biologist Dr Candice Pert PhD, Brandon Bays' Journey work has been called the 'missing link'.

Dr Pert, discovered the opiate receptor in the brain and her work on decoding the 'information molecules' the peptides and their receptors and how information is passed from one cell to another, is causing great excitement in the scientific and complementary communities. This is how information is passed from one cell to another. She established that when we have repressed emotions, or issues we've not coped with, chemistry is released into the body that will block certain cell receptors. If those cells remain blocked over a long period of time, there is the propensity for disease to be created in that area.

Deepak Chopra MD says 'phantom memories' are passed on from one cell generation to the next. This explains why cells don't heal, even though the various cells of the body regenerate very quickly - liver cells in six weeks, skin in 3-4 weeks, the stomach lining in four days and eye cells in two days. How is it that someone with liver cancer in January still has it over six weeks later?

Because, says Chopra, phantom memories cause degenerative disease patterns within cells that we passed on to the next cell being born and this is how disease patterns continue. In an interview with Tony Robbins, Chopra said we create a new body once a year, we are recycled, a river of intelligence and information, and that even the DNA, the raw material in us, comes and goes every six weeks. It is the cellular memory that is the same.

"The key," says Bays, "is to uncover this repressed trauma, or the unaddresssed cell memory, resolve it and clear it completely. Then your body and your being goes about the process of healing quite naturally on its own and you are left soaring in a boundless joy, peace and wholeness that is your own essence."

Brandon says: "Everything happens for a reason and a purpose. Once you have learnt what the disease or physical block has to teach you, and you finally let go of the emotional issues stored in the cells, then and only then, can real healing begin on all levels, emotional, spiritual and physical.

"There's a chemical expression for every emotion that we have. We need to understand that at a purely chemical level consciousness and emotions are affecting our cells.

"I cannot tell anyone how to heal. Part of the healing process is that each of us must discover his or her own truth."

This has certainly been my experience and what I have been privileged to witness over and over again. Across the globe, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life have discovered real freedom in their lives after using the Journey process, whether from the book, the tapes, or by attending Bays' weekend 'Journey Intensive' workshop.

Participants have reported profound results, uncovering their own answers to their deepest questions and experiencing lasting emotional and physical healing at a cellular level. People who have experienced The Journey have found chronic pain simply vanishes; anxiety, depression and sexual blocks disappear; self-esteem, grief, and anger issues dissolve; that addictions fall away and illnesses have resolved and healed.
