Rainy day fun for everyone
Do you need something to brighten up a rainy afternoon? You don’t need a bored child as a reason for doing something different (though if you do, both of you can have fun)!
Life coach Mary Lunnen encourages people to take part in interactive exercises and hands-on creative activities designed to put you back in touch with the source of your inspiration. For example, why not gather together any ‘scrap’ materials you have around the house (egg boxes, plastic containers, magazines) together with silver foil, paper plates, old knitting wool, coloured plastic paperclips.
Add scissors, glue, paints, whatever else you have to hand. You can use these to make a figure, a collage, a doll, a mask all sorts of possibilities. Give yourselves a time limit and see what emerges you will be surprised! A further activity is to write down how you feel about your creation or telling a story about it, this can lead to insights and lots more ideas. Mary runs workshops (for adults only at the moment) where you can get away for a day and reawaken your creativity, the next one is near Bideford in September.
