Energy – How much are you burning?

According to the Energy Saving Trust, energy to a value of some £740* million is wasted every year due to electrical equipment being left on standby, or charging unnecessarily, in UK homes. As a result, the pressure is on consumer electronics manufacturers to ensure that excess consumption of electricity by household appliances is reduced – and on consumers to reduce their consumption and bills as well as their impact on the environment.
