Buddhafield 2006:
transforming self and world

Firmly establish your intention to live your life for the healing of the world. Be fully present in our time.

Hold in a single vision the transformation of yourself and the transformation of the world.

As a bird flies on two wings, balance outer activity with inner sustenance.

Be confident in the magic and power that arise when people come together in a great cause.

In it all and through it all, holding to your intention, let go into the music of life. Dance!

Eleven years ago Buddhafield began as a meditation teaching project at Glastonbury. The Buddhafield festival is now open to 1,900 people and has a reputation as one of the most harmonious and friendly events on the circuit. This year the theme is ‘Dharma Warriors: transforming self and world’ (dharma means ‘truth’ or ‘teaching’). Never doubt the magic and power that arise when people come together in a great cause!

As well as bands and a huge range of workshops, expect ceremonies, performance poets, activist circle, debates, meditation, a fantastic kids area and more. If you'd like more information or are interested in being on a team such as stewarding or working in the café or site crew, please see details on the website www.buddhafield.com

As well as the festival, the Buddhafield project now encompasses an organic vegan cafe, a permaculture project and a programme of outdoor retreats throughout the summer. Check out the Green Retreat in Buddhafield's bluebell woodland this April, the August Everyday Magic Retreat for families or Dharma Warriors Retreat, deepening the theme of this year's festival.

Following the Buddhist precept of keeping one’s mind clear and bright, all Buddhafield events are drug and alcohol free.
