Tidal Energy

Following the successful installation and on-going trial of the SeaFlow tidal stream energy device off Lynmouth, Marine Current Turbines, the Bristol based company behind the project, believe that there is significant potential for the development of a commercial tidal farm (an array) in the Bristol Channel.  It could possibly have a capacity of around 10MW, sufficient to supply electricity to between 5,000 and 6,000 homes.
